BIOGRAPHY

STEPFANIE KRAMER is an actress, writer, singer-songwriter and Director best known for her iconic role as the tough-minded detective, Sgt. Dee Dee McCall on the popular NBC-TV series Hunter. Her portrayal of the role helped to make “Hunter” a major international hit. She has guest starred in a multitude of series though out her career and has starred in several TV movies. Some of her favorites include ABC family’s Cutting Edge 2: Going For Gold, Coins in a Fountain (CBS), Take My Daughters Please (NBC) , Favorite Son, We’ve Got It Made (NBC), Married The First Year (CBS) and Deceived By Trust (NBC), which was the highest rated TV film of 1995.  She has also made her mark in the independent film world, starring in cult classics such as “The Dogwalker”, “Twin Sisters” and “Beyond Suspicion”.

Stepfanie has been honored the world over for her accomplishments in film and television. IN 2015, STEPFANIE WAS HONORED AS AN ICON OF TELEVISION AT THE 56TH INTERNATIONAL TELEVISION FESTIVAL IN MONACO. She won the award for outstanding Performance by a lead actress from the First Americans in the Arts Awards in 1995, 2002 and 2003. She has hosted the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade twice, earning her a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Special Class Programming.

Stepfanie’s most recent television credits include the role of Kate Meade on “The Secret Circle” (CW) and also starred as Dorothy Calvin in the popular Lifetime film “Christmas Catch”.  

She has had the pleasure of performing alongside Bob Hope, Sammy Davis Jr., George Clooney, Frances McDorman, James Cromwell, Issac Hayes, Rue McClanahan, Chris Noth, James Brolin not just in film and television but through her musical career as well. Her first CD, "One Dream", showed her as a gifted singer as well as a talented composer and lyricist. Her second CD, "The Great American Songbook", is a live recording of popular standards. In 2008, she represented the U.S. by performing at the International Music Festival in Queretero Mexico. Past concert venues include Catalina Jazz Club, Sterling’s Upstairs, The Clocktower Cabaret and Vibrato Grill Jazz.

Stepfanie is a graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts/West. She continues her association with her alma mater to this day as an occasional special guest instructor.
